CBT Today (Vol. 45, November 1-February 2017) gave us a complete run down of the change from Accreditation to the new Reaccreditation to Maintaining Quality and Standards of Practice (MQSP).  The shift means that rather than being a statement of ongoing practitioner competency, accreditation and listing on the register is about having met Minimum Training Standards in CBT – and subsequently committing to meet standards which support good practice.  Failure to engage in the process will mean that you have opted to self-remove from the CBT Register.  Reaccreditation Certificates will no longer be issued, and that current accreditation status of members can be verified ONLY from the Register listing on the BABCP website.

For those therapists who are affiliated with CBT Health Ltd, please note that we fully expect that BABCP recommendations and register listings be undertaken in order to continue with your affiliation.
